PROCLAMATION NO. 2012-11
A PROCLAMATION OF THE TOWN COUNCIL OF THE TOWN OF
TROPHY CLUB, TEXAS, ESTABLISHING SEPTEMBER 17 -23, 2012
AS "CONSTITUTION WEEK 2012" IN TROPHY CLUB.
WHEREAS, September 17, 2012 marks the two hundred and twenty-fifth
anniversary of the drafting of the Constitution of the United States of America by the
Constitutional Convention; and
WHEREAS, it is fitting and proper to officially recognize this magnificent
document and the anniversary of its creation; and
WHEREAS, the Captain Molly Corbin Chapter, Daughters of the American
Revolution will celebrate the occasion at Constitution Luncheon on Saturday,
September 22, with speaker Pamela Rouse Wright, DAR State Regent, as featured
speaker; and
WHEREAS, public law 915 guarantees the issuing of a proclamation each year
by the President of the United States of America designating September 17 through 23
as Constitution Week;
NOW, THEREFORE, I, MAYOR CONNIE WHITE, IN CONJUNCTION WITH
THE TOWN COUNCIL OF THE TOWN OF TROPHY CLUB, TEXAS, DO HEREBY
PROCLAIM:
September 17 through 23, 2012 to be CONSTITUTION WEEK
in the Town of Trophy Club, Texas and urge all citizens to study the Constitution and
reflect on the privilege of being an American with all the rights and responsibilities which
that privilege involves.
PASSED AND APPROVED by the Town Council of the Town of Trophy Club,
Texas this 10th day of September, 2012.
