PROCLAMATION
A PROCLAMATION OF THE TOWN OF TROPHY CLUBS CURRENT TOWN COUNCIL
RECOMMENDING PROCEDURES FOR THE APPOINTMENT OF A COUNCIL PERSON
TO FILL A VACANCY ON THE COUNCIL WHICH MAY OCCUR AFTER. THE MAY 1,
1999 GENERAL ELECTION.
WHEREAS, the Town of Trophy Club, Texas is a Type A General Law City;
WHEREAS, Section 2.010 of the Texas Local Government Code authorizes the Town
Council to fill, by appointment, a vacancy on the council;
WHEREAS, the Town Council has reached a consensus that if a vacancy should occur on
the Council, the candidate receiving the third highest number of votes during the latest City Council
Election, which will be held on May 1, 1999, should be appointed to said vacancy; and
WHEREAS, the Town Council has reached a consensus that if a second vacancy should
occur on the Council, the candidate receiving the ''fourth highest number of votes during the latest
City Council Election, which will be heli on May 1, 1999, should be appointed to said vacancy.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT PROCLAIMED BY THE MAYOR OF THE TOWN OF
TROPHY CLUB, TEXAS;
