CALL TO ORDER AND ANNOUNCE A QUORUM
PUBLIC COMMENT(S)
This is an opportunity for citizens to address the Board on any matter pursuant to Texas
Government Code Sec. 551.007. The Board is not permitted to discuss or take action on
any presentations made concerning matters that are not listed on the agenda.
Presentations are limited to matters over which the Board has authority. Speakers have up
to four (4) minutes or the time limit determined by the Presiding Officer. Each speaker must
have submitted their request to speak by completing the Speaker’s Form or may email
dwilson@trophyclub.org

1. Receive an update regarding ongoing Parks & Recreation projects (C. Ellis).
2. Receive an update regarding the Parks Improvement Subcommittee and Trophy Club

The Board may convene into executive session to discuss posted items as allowed by
Texas Government Code Sections 551.071 through 551.076 and Section 551.087.
Notice is hereby given that a quorum of the Town of Trophy Club Town Council may be in
attendance at this meeting. The Town Council will not deliberate or take any action.

for the Town of Trophy Club, Texas, in a place convenient and readily accessible to the general

PARKS AND RECREATION BOARD MINUTES
MONDAY, NOVEMBER 20, 2023; 7:00 P.M.
The Trophy Club Parks and Recreation Board met in a Regular Session on Monday, November 20, 2023. The
meeting was held at Town Hall, 1 Trophy Wood Drive in the Council Chambers.

CALL TO ORDER AND ANNOUNCE A QUORUM
Chairperson Murray called the meeting to order at 7:01 p.m. and noted a quorum.
PUBLIC COMMENTS
No Public Comments were made.
ANNOUNCMENTS & REPORTS
1. Receive an update regarding ongoing Parks and Recreation projects.
Senior Administrative Assistant Wilson provided the board with updates regarding the Veteran’s Day Ceremony event,
Gingerbread House Decorating event, Letters to Santa program, Holiday Light competition, and the Christmas in the Park
event.
Interim Director of Parks & Recreation Angel provided a brief update on the Community Pool Project, noting the Town
Council’s approval to move forward with a new water slide. Halff & Associates has since provided the Town with options
regarding the placement and configuration of the slide. Interim Director of Parks & Recreation Angel assured the Board that
their input would be considered when deciding on the final design of the water slide.
2. Receive an update from the Parks Improvements subcommittee and the Trophy Club Park subcommittee.
Secretary Schrein, a member of both the Parks Improvements subcommittee and the Trophy Club Park subcommittee,
provided the board with updates and recommendations from both subcommittees.
Secretary Schrein noted that neither subcommittee had met since the last board meeting, and that no substantial update
was available.

3. Discuss and take appropriate action to approve the Parks & Recreation Board Meeting minutes dated October 30,
2023.
Vice Chairperson Ferguson motioned to approve the Parks & Recreation Board Meeting Minutes dated October 30, 2023.
The motion was seconded by Secretary Schrein. Chairperson Murray called for a vote. The motion passed unanimously (8-
0).
4. Discuss and take appropriate regarding fees and revenues associated with the Community Pool.
Chairperson Murray commented that due to a lack of data available at the time, it was in the Board’s best interest to
postpone discussion on this topic until a later meeting.
No action was taken.
5. Discuss and take appropriate action regarding the fees and revenues associated with Trophy Club Park and OHV
Decals.
Interim Director of Parks & Recreation Angel presented the board with a review of the fees and revenues at Trophy Club
Park, including the current entry fee rates and revenues collected from the park’s gate over the past three years.
Discussion was held amongst the board members regarding the fees and revenues at Trophy Club Park.
No action was taken.
6. Future agenda items.
Items noted for the next Parks and Recreation Board meeting included:
a) Review maintenance policies and schedule for Town-owned parks and facilities.
b) Review structure and assignment of board members to subcommittees.
c) Discuss and take appropriate action regarding fees and revenues associated with the Community Pool.
ADJOURN
Chairperson Murray adjourned the meeting at 8:09 PM.
