current rate of one-fourth of one percent (0.25%) to a new rate of one-half of one
percent (0.5%); providing for the incorporation of premises; providing for the
confirmation of vote tabulations; authorizing the issuance of the Canvass of Special
Election; providing for engrossment and enrollment; and providing an effective date.

AN ORDINANCE CANVASSING THE ELECTION HELD ON
NOVEMBER 6, 2012 IN THE TOWN OF TROPHY CLUB, TEXAS;
CANVASSING ELECTION RETURNS AND DECLARING ELECTION
RESULTS OF A SPECIAL ELECTION ON A MEASURE TO REDUCE
THE LOCAL SALES AND USE TAX RATE OF THE TROPHY CLUB
ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT CORPORATION 4A FROM THE
CURRENT RATE OF ONE-HALF OF ONE PERCENT (0.5%) TO A NEW
RATE OF ONE-FOURTH OF ONE PERCENT (0.25%), AND TO
INCREASE THE LOCAL SALES AND USE TAX RATE OF THE
TROPHY CLUB ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT CORPORATION 4B
FROM THE CURRENT RATE OF ONE-FOURTH OF ONE PERCENT
(0.25%) TO A NEW RATE OF ONE-HALF OF ONE PERCENT (0.5%);
PROVIDING FOR THE INCORPORATION OF PREMISES; PROVIDING
FOR THE CONFIRMATION OF VOTE TABULATIONS; AUTHORIZING
THE ISSUANCE OF THE CANVASS OF SPECIAL ELECTION;
PROVIDING FOR ENGROSSMENT AND ENROLLMENT; AND
PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, under and by virtue of Ordinance No. 2012-15 duly passed by the
Town Council of the Town of Trophy Club, Texas (the “Town”) on August 20, 2012 and
published in accordance with the law, a special election was held in the Town on
November 6, 2012, (the “Election”) for the purpose of approval of the proposition set
forth below (the “Proposition”); and
WHEREAS, the Town Council has investigated all matters pertaining to the
election and has determined that notice of Election was properly given as required by
law, that the Election was duly and legally held on November 6, 2012, in conformity with
the election laws of the State of Texas, the Town Charter and the Voting Rights Act of
1965, and that the results of the Election have been certified and returned to the Town
Council by the proper judges and clerks thereof; and
WHEREAS, the Town Council has today considered the returns of the Election
held on November 6, 2012, for the approval of the Proposition; and
WHEREAS, it further appears to the Town Council, and the Town Council so
finds, that the Town Secretary has tabulated the results of the Election and certified
such tabulation for the Town Council, and that there were 4540 ballots cast at the
Election, and that such tabulation is correct;
NOW THEREFORE BE IT ORDAINED BY THE TOWN COUNCIL OF THE
TOWN OF TROPHY CLUB, TEXAS:

Section 1. Incorporation of Premises. The above and foregoing premises are
true and correct and are incorporated into the body of this Ordinance and made a part
hereof for all purposes.
Section 2. Confirmation of Vote Tabulations. That the tabulation of votes cast
for the Proposition submitted at the Election, made and certified to by the Town
Secretary of the Town, be hereby adopted as the official tabulation filed and recorded in
the official records of the Town as the official canvass of the Election.
Section 3. Canvass of the Returns. The official canvass of the returns of the
Election reflect the following results:
PROPOSITION NO. 1
The reduction of the local sales and use tax allocated to the Trophy Club
Economic Development Corporation 4A from the current rate of one-half
of one percent (0.5%) to a new rate of one-fourth of one percent (0.25%),
and the increase of the local sales and use tax allocated to the Trophy
Club Economic Development Corporation 4B from the current rate of one-
fourth of one percent (0.25%) to a new rate of one half of one percent
(0.5%)

Section 4. Issuance of Canvass of Special Election.
The Mayor is hereby
authorized and directed to execute and deliver the Town of Trophy Club Texas Canvass
of General Election, a copy of which is attached hereto and incorporated herein as
Exhibit “A”, along with the Town of Trophy Club Texas Canvass of General Election
Tally Sheets, attached hereto and incorporated herein as Exhibit “A-1” to Exhibit “A” in
accordance with the election laws of the State of Texas, and to take all other action
necessary in connection therewith.
Section 5. Engrossment and Enrollment.
Section 6.
The Town Secretary of the Town of
Trophy Club is hereby directed to engross and enroll this Ordinance in the Ordinance
records of the Town and to properly record this Ordinance in accordance with the Town
Charter.
Effective Date.
This Ordinance shall take effect from and after its
date of passage in accordance with law, and it is so ordained.
PASSED AND APPROVED by the Town Council of the Town of Trophy Club,
Texas, this the 14th day of November, 2012.

CANVASS OF GENERAL ELECTION
I, the undersigned Mayor of the Town of Trophy Club, Texas, and Presiding
Officer of the Canvassing Authority of the Town, met on the 14th day of November, 2012
with the Town Council of the Town, sitting as the Canvassing Board to canvass the
returns of the Special Election held on November 6, 2012, at the Trophy Club Svore
Municipal Building, 100 Municipal Drive, Trophy Club, Texas, as such returns related to
the election on a measure to reduce the local sales and use tax allocated to the Trophy
Club Economic Development Corporation 4A from the current rate of one-half of one
percent (0.5%) to a new rate of one-fourth of one percent (0.25%), and to increase the
local sales and use tax allocated to the Trophy Club Economic Development
Corporation 4B from the current rate of one-fourth of one percent (0.25%) to a new rate
of one half of one percent (0.5%).
I DO HEREBY CERTIFY that the figures on the tally sheets hereto attached as
Exhibit “A-1” correspond with the figures on the returns.
