Review Harmony Park Splash Pad project recommendation; discuss and take appropriate action
regarding same and alternative options for a park amenity.
Body
The Harmony Park Splash Pad project was originally recommended by the Park Board as one of the
projects to be funded by a portion of the $5,000,000 bond issuance for park amenities. The project was
discussed at the most recent Town Council strategic planning retreat. Council identified questions about
the potential water usage and long term cost of the splash pad project and other viable alternatives for a
park amenity on the east side of Town. In order to discuss the questions raised by Council and discuss
alternative projects, staff determined it appropriate to return this item for additional Park Board review and
analysis prior to requesting Council authorization to proceed with the project.

Discuss and provide input concerning trail marking signage throughout Trophy Club Park
Body
Staff is prepared to move forward in placing markers along the trail system within TCP. It was staff's intent
to place them in such a way that a trail user would be able to view a marker at all times, taking into
consideration both unfamiliarity with the trail and police and emergency services. There has been concern
that this frequency level of marking may be aesthetically unpleasing or unneeded. Staff will bring input
from other departments and look for the Board to provide their thoughts on this matter
