PROCLAMATION NO. 2019-17
A PROCLAMATION OF THE TOWN COUNCIL OF THE TOWN OF
TROPHY CLUB, TEXAS, SUPPORTING JULY 7, 2019 AS EVERYBODY
LOVE EVERYBODY DAY IN TROPHY CLUB; AND PROVIDING AN
EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, 272 police officers were killed in the line of duty since 2017, with
Texas suffering the most deaths; and
WHEREAS, mental illness plays a part in 25% of total fatal police shootings; and
WHEREAS, each year, 1.4 million people worldwide lose their lives to violence.
And, for each one, many more are injured and suffer from a range of physical, sexual,
reproductive and mental health problems; and
WHEREAS, violence is preventable and its impacts can be lowered by reducing
risks and implementing violence prevention programs in schools; and
WHEREAS, promoting positive, nurturing relationships within families and
communities can prevent violence; and
WHEREAS, since our last Everybody Love Everybody Proclamation, in the last year,
with the help of our Community, ELE has provided Christmas and a 5000 Easter Egg Hunt to
over 200 underprivileged children, delivered 7500 pairs of socks, 300 backpacks, 769 sleeping
bags and numerous meals to our homeless friends in Downtown Ft Worth; and
WHEREAS, Chris Bailey of Everybody Love Everybody continuously advocates that
spreading kindness, compassion and love can make the world a better place.
NOW, THEREFORE, I, MAYOR C. NICK SANDERS, IN CONJUNCTION WITH
THE TOWN COUNCIL OF THE TOWN OF TROPHY CLUB, TEXAS, DO HEREBY
PROCLAIM:
JULY 7, 2019 AS EVERYBODY LOVE EVERYBODY DAY
PASSED AND APPROVED by the Town Council of the Town of Trophy Club,
Texas, this 25th day of June 2019.
