PROCLAMATION NO. 2019-15
A PROCLAMATION OF THE TOWN COUNCIL OF THE TOWN OF
TROPHY CLUB, TEXAS, RECOGNIZING JUNE 12, 2019 AS TROPHY
CLUB WOMEN'S CLUB DAY IN TROPHY CLUB; AND PROVIDING AN
EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, the Trophy Club Women's Club was established by residents in
1980 with the mission of charity, friendship and community; and
WHEREAS, the Trophy Club Women's Club was incorporated on December 2,
1999 and gained 501 c3 status in November of 2002; and
WHEREAS, the Trophy Club Women's Club support the Town of Trophy Club
events including pet fest, Easter egg hunt, parade of patriots, back to nature and keep
Trophy Club wild; and
WHEREAS, the Trophy Club Women's Club has grown from 20 members to over
300 to date; and
WHEREAS, the Trophy Club Women's Club holds annual fundraisers with the
Christmas Home Tour and semi-annual garage sale; and
WHEREAS, the Trophy Club Women's Club has provided over $500,000 in
scholarships and grants; and
WHEREAS, the Trophy Club Women's Club members represent women young
and old, married or single, mothers, grandmothers, employed, retired, entrepreneurs
and active in other church and civic entities; and
WHEREAS, the Trophy Club Women's Club partnered with Byron Nelson High
School to present scholarships to graduating seniors in 2010 and is having a celebration
event on June 12, 2019 to honor this year's recipients; and
WHEREAS, the Town of Trophy Club is grateful to the Trophy Club Women's
Club and all they do to promote goodwill in the community.
NOW, THEREFORE, I, MAYOR C. NICK SANDERS, IN CONJUNCTION WITH
THE TOWN COUNCIL OF THE TOWN OF TROPHY CLUB, TEXAS, DO HEREBY
PROCLAIM:
June 12, 2019 as Trophy Club Women's Club Day
