RESOLUTION NO. 2016-27
A RESOLUTION OF THE TOWN COUNCIL OF THE TOWN OF TROPHY
CLUB, TEXAS REPEALING RESOLUTION NO. 2016-01 AND ADOPTING
A NEW RESOLUTION MAKING ANNUAL APPOINTMENTS AND
AFFIRMING EXISTING APPOINTMENTS; PROVIDING FOR THE
APPOINTMENT OF CITIZEN VOLUNTEERS AND A TOWN COUNCIL
LIAISON TO SERVE ON THE PARKS AND RECREATION BOARD;
PROVIDING FOR THE APPOINTMENT OF A CHAIRPERSON;
DESIGNATING TERMS OF SERVICE; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE
DATE.
WHEREAS, the Town of Trophy Club, Texas, benefits by having its citizens
involved in local government through service on Boards, Commissions, and Corporations;
and
WHEREAS, the Trophy Club Town Council is charged with the responsibility of
making appointments to the Boards, Commissions, and Corporations serving the Town
whose terms are expiring; and
WHEREAS, on February 9, 2016, the Town Council of the Town of Trophy Club
adopted Resolution No. 2016-01, filling one (1) vacancy for the remainder of an unexpired
term on the Parks and Recreation Board for the 2015-2016 fiscal year and affirming the
appointments of other previously appointed citizens, Chair, and Council Liaison; and
WHEREAS, the Town Council generally takes action in September of each year to
appoint citizens to serve on various Town Board, Commission, and Corporation seats; and
WHEREAS, by passage of this Resolution, the Town Council hereby finds it
appropriate to repeal Resolution No. 2016-01 and to adopt this Resolution making new
citizen volunteer appointments, affirming current appointments, and appointing a
Chairperson to serve on the Parks and Recreation Board as well as designating a member
of the Town Council to serve as Council Liaison for the 2016-2017 fiscal year.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE TOWN COUNCIL OF THE
TOWN OF TROPHY CLUB, TEXAS:
Section 1. That the foregoing recitals are incorporated herein as if written word
for word.
Section 2. That the Town Council hereby repeals Resolution No. 2016-01 and
adopts this Resolution to appoint or affirm, as applicable, the following individuals to serve
on the Parks and Recreation Board with respective terms of service ending on September
30 of the year specified below for each individual, appointing a Chairperson, and
designating a Council Liaison for the 2016-2017 fiscal year:
Parks and Recreation Board
1. Mindi Bone (2018) 5. Darin Davis (2017)
2. Kim Farrell (2018) 6. Earl Bilbrey (2017)
3. Jacob Gibson (2018) 7. Tiffany Nimphius (2017)
4. Dean Murray (2018)
Tiffany Nimphius shall serve as Chairperson of the Parks and Recreation Board.
Council Liaison: Council Member Philip Shoffner
Section 3. This Resolution shall take effect from and after its date of passage in
accordance with law.
PASSED and APPROVED by the Town Council of the Town of Trophy Club, Texas
on this 27th day of September 2016.
