ORDINANCE NO. 0 89-14
AN ORDINANCE OF THE TOWN OF TROPHY CLUB,
TEXAS, AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 87-06 RELATING
TO FLOOD HAZARD REGULATIONS BY AMENDING
SECTION 3.B. THEREOF RELATING TO ESTABLISHING
AREAS OF SPECIAL FLOOD HAZARD BY ADOPTING THE
FLOOD INSURANCE RATE MAP FOR THE TOWN OF
TROPHY CLUB DATED AUGUST 3, 1989; PROVIDING A
SEVERABILITY CLAUSE; PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE
DATE.
WHEREAS, the Town Council of the Town of Trophy Club,
Texas (the "Town") has heretofore adopted Ordinance No. 87-06
and therein established regulations governing flood hazard
prevention; and
WHEREAS, at the time of the adoption of Ordinance No.
87-06, the Federal Emergency Management Agency was proceeding
with but had not yet completed a Flood Insurance Rate Study
establishing base flood elevations for the Town and a Flood
Insurance Rate Map, which Study and Map have now been
completed; and
WHEREAS, the Town desires to adopt the said Study and Map
and reaffirm the provisions of Ordinance No. 87-06.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE TOWN COUNCIL OF THE
TOWN OF TROPHY CLUB, TEXAS:
Section 1. That Ordinance No. 87-06 of the Town of
Trophy Club, Texas relating to flood hazard prevention is
hereby amended by amending Section 3.B. thereof so that it
shall hereafter read as follows:
B. Basis for Establishing the Areas of
Special Flood Hazard.
The areas of special flood hazard identified
by the Federal Emergency Management Agency in
a scientific and engineering report entitled
"The Flood Insurance Study for the Town of
Trophy Club, Texas" with an effective date of
August 3, 1989, with an accompanying Flood
Insurance Rate Map (FIRM) of the same date
and Flood Boundary - Floodway Maps (FBRM) and
any revisions thereto are hereby adopted by
reference and declared to be a part of this
ordinance."

Section 2. That the Flood Insurance Rate Map, dated
August 3, 1989, shall and is hereby declared to be adopted and
made a part of Ordinance No. 87-06.
Section 3. If any section, article, paragraph,
sentence, clause, phrase or word in this ordinance, or
application thereto any person or circumstances is held invalid
or unconstitutional by a Court of competent jurisdiction, such
holding shall not affect the validity of the remaining portions
of this ordinance; and the Town Council hereby declares it
would have passed such remaining portions of the ordinance
despite such invalidity, which remaining portions shall remain
in full force and effect.
Section 4. That this ordinance shall become effective
from and after the date of its passage and publication as
provided by law.
PASSED AND APPROVED by the Town Council of the Town of
