ORDINANCE NO. 0 87-18
AN ORDINANCE OF THE TOWN OF TROPHY CLUB,
TEXAS PROVIDING FOR THE APPOINTMENT BY
MOTION OF THE TOWN COUNCIL OF THE TOWN
BUILDING OFFICIAL AND/OR CODE ENFORCEMENT
OFFICER; AUTHORIZING AND EMPOWERING SAID
OFFICIAL AND/OR OFFICER TO ENFORCE THE TOWN
BUILDING, ELECTRICAL AND MECHANICAL CODES,
THE TOWN UNIFORM BUILDING CODE STANDARDS,
THE TOWN UNIFORM CODE FOR THE ABATEMENT OF
DANGEROUS STRUCTURES, THE TOWN UNIFORM
HOUSING CODE AND ALL OTHER CODES, ORDINANCES
OR REGULATIONS OF TETE TOWN CONCERNING
BUILDING, CONSTRUCTION, HOUSING AND RELATED
ACTIVITIES; PROVIDING A SEVERABILITY CLAUSE;
DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, the Town Council of the Town of Trophy Club,
Texas (the "Town") has in effect certain uniform codes and
other ordinances and regulations concerning building,
construction, housing and similar activities, and continues to
update these and adopt such new codes, ordinances and
regulations as the Town Council deems necessary for the
protection of the public health, safety and welfare.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE TOWN COUNCIL OF THE
TOWN OF TROPHY CLUB, TEXAS:
Section 1. That all of the above premises are found to
be true and correct and are incorporated into the body of this
ordinance as if copied in their entirety.
Section 2. That the Town Council may by motion appoint
a person to be the Building Official and/or Code Enforcement
Officer for the Town and appoint such other assistants to the
Building Official and/or Code Enforcement Officer as the Town
Council deems expedient or necessary.
Section 3. That the Building Official and/or Code
Enforcement Officer so appointed shall have the power .and
authority to enforce the Town Building, Electrical and
Mechanical Codes, the Town Uniform Building Code Standards, the
Town Uniform Code for the Abatement of Dangerous Structures,
the Town Uniform Housing Code, and all other codes, ordinances
and regulations of the Town which concern building,
construction, housing or related activities.
Section 4. if any section, article, paragraph,

sentence, clause, phrase or word in this ordinance{or
application thereto any person or circumstances is held invalid
or unconstitutional by a Court of competent jurisdiction, such
holding shall not affect the validity of the remaining portions
of this ordinance; and the City Council hereby declares it
would have passed such remaining portions of the ordinance
despite such invalidity, which remaining portions shall remain
in full force and effect.
Section 5. That this ordinance shall be effective from
and after its date of passage as provided by law.
PASSED AND APPROVED by the Town Council of the Town of
