AN ORDINANCE OF THE TOWN OF TROPHY CLUB,
TEXAS AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 0 87^26 OF THE
TOWN ESTABLISHING THE OFFICE OF TOWN HEALTH
AUTHORITY BY ADDING A NEW SECTION 2A TO THE
ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE HEALTH AUTHORITY
TO PROVIDE PUBLIC HEALTH EDUCATION AND
INFORMATION SERVICES; PROVIDING A
SEVERABILITY CLAUSE; PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE
DATE.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE TOWN COUNCIL OF THE TOWN OF TROPHY
CLUB, TEXAS:
Section 1. That Ordinance No.87-26 of the Town of
Trophy Club (the "Town") relating to the creation of the office
of Town Health Officer is hereby amended in the following
particulars, and that all other sections, paragraphs,
sentences, phrases and words of said Ordinance are not amended
but are hereby ratified, verified, approved and affirmed:
A. That a new section 2A shall be added to Ordinance
No. n 87-9b to read as follows:
"Section 2A. That the Health Authority
shall have the authority to provide public
health education and information services to
the citizens of the Town."
Section 2. If any section, article, paragraph,
sentence, clause, phrase or word in this ordinance, or
application thereto any person or circumstances is held invalid
or unconstitutional by a Court of competent jurisdiction, such
holding shall not affect the validity of the remaining portions
of this ordinance; and the Town Council hereby declares it
would have passed such remaining portions of the ordinance
despite such invalidity, which remaining portions shall remain
in full force and effect.
Section 3. That this ordinance shall take effect from
andafter its date of passage as provided by law.
PASSED AND APPROVED by the Town Council of the Town of
Trophy Club, Texas this the 18 day of January 1988.
