AN ORDINANCE OF THE TOWN OF TROPHY CLUB, TEXAS
AMENDING THE TOWN'S 1987 COMPREHENSIVE PLAN
HERETOFORE ADOPTED PURSUANT TO ORDINANCE NO.
87-04 IN ITS ENTIRETY BY ADOPTING THE
COMPREHENSIVE LAND USE PLAN, MAY 1992 PREPARED
BY PLANNING RESOURCES GROUP ATTACHED HERETO;
DETERMINING THAT IT IS IN THE PUBLIC INTEREST,
HEALTH, SAFETY AND GENERAL WELFARE TO ADOPT
THE SAID COMPREHENSIVE PLAN; REPEALING ANY
ORDINANCE IN CONFLICT WITH THIS ORDINANCE;
PROVIDING A SEVERABILITY CLAUSE; PROVIDING AND
EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, the Town Council of the Town of Trophy Club, Texas
(the "Town") has heretofore, by the adoption of Ordinance No. 87-
04, adopted a comprehensive plan for the entire Town entitled
"Comprehensive Plan 1987 for the Town of Trophy Club, Texas" (the
111987 Comprehensive Plan"), which Comprehensive Plan includes,
among other things, general direction concerning land use,
transportation, parks and recreation, community facilities, and
utilities; and
WHEREAS, the Town Council is authorized and empowered to amend
the 1987 Comprehensive Plan pursuant to §211.004(b), Tex. Loc. Gov.
Code Ann. (Vernon); and
WHEREAS, since the adoption of the 1987 Comprehensive Plan,
numerous changes have occurred within and without the Town relating
to, among other things, land use, transportation, parks and
recreation, community facilities, and utilities; and
WHEREAS, the said changes prompted review of the 1987
Comprehensive Plan by the Town Planning and Zoning Commission (the
"Commission") and the Town Council, which review included numerous
studies, meetings and a joint public hearing of the Commission and
Town Council;
WHEREAS, after public notice was given in compliance with
State law and public hearing was conducted, and after considering
the information submitted at the said public hearing and all other
relevant information and materials, the Planning and Zoning
Commission has recommended to the Town Council the adoption of the
amendments to the 1987 Comprehensive Plan as set forth in the
document attached hereto and entitled "Comprehensive Land Use Plan,
May 1992 for the Town of Trophy Club, Texas"; and
WHEREAS, after due deliberations and consideration of the
recommendation of the Planning and Zoning Commission and the
information and other materials received at the public hearings,
the Town Council has concluded that the adoption of this Ordinance
amending the 1987 Comprehensive Plan is in the best interests of

the Town of Trophy Club, Texas and of the public health, safety and
welfare .
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE TOWN COUNCIL OF THE TOWN
OF TROPHY CLUB, TEXAS:
Section 1. That the above and foregoing preamble is true
and correct and is incorporated into the body of this Ordinance as
if copied herein in its entirety.
Section 2. That the Comprehensive Pian 1987 for the Town
of Trophy Club, Texas as adopted by Ordinance No. 87-04 is hereby
amended by adopting the Comprehensive Land Use Plan, May 1992 for
the Town of Trophy Club, Texas as prepared by Planning Resources
Group, a true and correct copy of which is attached hereto and
incorporated herein. The said Comprehensive Land Use Plan, May
1992 for the Town of Trophy Club, Texas shall hereafter serve as
the sole comprehensive plan for the Town, subject to amendment
thereto.
Section 3. A copy of the Comprehensive Land Use Plan, May
1992 for the Town of Trophy Club, Texas shall be kept in the office
of the Town Secretary with the original of this Ordinance and shall
be available for inspection during regular business hours.
Section 4. If any section, article, paragraph, sentence,
clause, phrase or word in this Ordinance or application thereof to
any person or circumstance is held invalid or unconstitutional by
a Court of competent jurisdiction, such holding shall not affect
the validity of the remaining portions of this Ordinance, and the
Town Council hereby declares it would have passed such remaining
portions of this Ordinance despite such invalidity, which remaining
portions shall remain in full force and effect.
Section 5. That all Ordinances or parts of Ordinances in
conflict with this Ordinance are hereby repealed to the extent of
such conflict.
Section 6. That this Ordinance shall become effective from
and after its date of adoption.
