AN ORDINANCE OF THE TOWN OF TROPHY CLUB,
TEXAS AMENDING THE 1995-1996 BUDGET TO PROVIDE
FOR THE FUNDING FOR THE ACQUISITION AND
CONSTRUCTION OF THE POLICE BUILDING BY ADDING
TO THE POLICE BUILDING CONSTRUCTION ACCOUNT
(LINE ITEM 9530) THE SUM OF $316,304; PROVIDING AN
EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, in September, 1995 the Town Council of the Town of Trophy Club, Texas
adopted a budget for the fiscal year beginning October 1, 1995 and ending September 30, 1996;
and
WHEREAS, at the time of the adoption of the budget, the Town Council anticipated the
construction of a police building and allocated $190,000 toward that construction (budget line
item 9530); and
WHEREAS, recognizing the urgent need to provide the Police Department with
additional office space, in March, 1996 the Town Council solicited bids for the acquisition and
construction of a police building, and on April 16, 1996 awarded a bid for the police building
in the amount of $466,304 to GE Capital Modular Space; and
WHEREAS, in order to fund the acquisition and construction of the police building, the
Town has secured financing in the amount of $200,000 and desires to fund the balance owed to
GE Capital Modular Space out of its reserves, such that the payment to GE Capital Modular
Space will be made from: (i) a portion of the funds originally budgeted ($150,000), (ii) the
$200,000 received through financing, and (iii) $116,304 out of reserves; and
WHEREAS, Section 102.010 of the Texas Local Government Code authorizes the Town
Council to make changes in the adopted budget for municipal purposes.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE TOWN COUNCIL OF THE
TOWN OF TROPHY CLUB, TEXAS:
Section 1. The above and foregoing premises are true and correct and are incorporated
herein and made a part hereof for all purposes.
Section 2. The budget of the Town of Trophy Club, Texas, for the fiscal year October
1, 1995, through September 30, 1996, is hereby amended so as to increase the budgeted amounts
in certain accounts by item and line number, such increases being more specifically enumerated
and set out in Exhibit A attached hereto and made a part hereof and incorporated herein for all
purposes.

Section 3. Except for the items and accounts amended hereby and set out specifically
in Exhibit A, the budget for the fiscal year October 1, 1995, through September 30, 1996 shall
remain in full force and effect.
Section 4. This Ordinance shall take effect upon its passage, and the Town Manager is
directed to file a true copy hereof with the Town Secretary and with the office of the County
Clerk of Denton County, Texas.
