AN ORDINANCE OF THE TOWN OF TROPHY CLUB,
TEXAS AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 92-08 OF THE
TOWN RELATING TO TRAFFIC CONTROL AND
CONTROL OF STREETS BY ADDING A SCHOOL ZONE
LOCATION WHERE THE SPEED ON THE
ROAD BETWEEN CERTAIN HOURS SHALL BE 20 MILES
PER HOUR; ADDING LOCATIONS FOR THE PLACEMENT
OF STOP SIGNS; PROVIDING A PENALTY NOT TO
EXCEED THE SUM OF FIVE HUNDRED DOLLARS
($500.00) FOR EACH OFFENSE AND A SEPARATE
OFFENSE SHALL BE DEEMED COMMITTED EACH DAY
DURING OR ON WHICH A VIOLATION OCCURS;
PROVIDING A SAVINGS CLAUSE; PROVIDING A
SEVERABILITY CLAUSE; PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE
DATE.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE TOWN COUNCIL OF THE
TOWN OF TROPHY CLUB, TEXAS:
Section 1. Ordinance No. 92-08 of the Town of Trophy Club, Texas (the
"Town") is hereby amended in the following particulars, and all other sections, subsections,
paragraphs, sentences, phrases and words of the said Ordinance are not amended but are hereby
ratified, verified, approved and affirmed (additions are underlined; deletions are stpdek
A. Section 3.13. of Ordinance No. 92-08 relating to the speed of vehicles is hereby
amended so that it shall hereafter read as follows:
"B. School Zones. The following areas, streets or portions thereof shall be
designated special speed zones and it shall be unlawful for any person to drive
any vehicle thereon at a speed greater than twenty (20) miles per hour during the
designated times:
(a) On Village Trail Road from the 0 block to the 200 block, between the hours of
7:00 A.M. and 9:00 A.M. and between the hours of 2:00 P.M. and 3:30 P.M.
on school days.
On Trophy Lake Drive at he, foIIowing locations:
in the northbound lane of Tro& Lake Drive beginning at
the school zone sin in place on the effective date of this
ordinance and extending north from that point 372.8 feet and

in the southbound lane of Trophy Lake Drive,, beginning at
the school zone sign in place on „ he. effective date of this
ordinance, and extending south from that point for 383.0 feet,
and between the hours of 7:00 A.M. and 9:00 A.M. and between
the hours of 2:00 P.M. and 3:30 P.M. on school days.
B. Section 4.A. of Ordinance No. 92-08 relating to the speed of vehicles is hereby
amended by adding paragraphs (14 through (49) so that it shall hereafter read as follows:
"Section 4. Traffic Control Devices.
A. Stop Signs. Stop signs shall be erected at the following intersections and
such intersections are hereby designated as stop intersections. Every driver of a
vehicle approaching a stop intersection shall stop before entering the crosswalk
on the near side of the intersection or, in the event there is no crosswalk, shall
stop at a clearly marked stop line, but if none, then at the point nearest the
intersecting roadway where the driver has a view of the approaching traffic on the
intersecting roadway before entering the intersection, except when directed to
proceed by a police officer or traffic control signal. The stop intersections and
locations of stop signs shall be as follows:
(14) At the southwest corner of Overhill Drive facing Skyline Drive.
(15) At the northwest corner of Overhill Drive facing Timber Ridge Drive.
(16) At the southwest comer of Timber Ridge Drive facing Skyline Drive.
(17) At the northwest comer of Rock Wood Drive facing Meadowbrook Lane.
(18) At the northeast corner of Greenleaf Drive facing Meadowbrook Lane.
(19) At the southeast corner of Timberline Drive facing Greenleaf Drive.
(20) At the northeast corner of Timber Ridge facing Greenhill Drive.
(21) At the northwest comer of Greenleaf Drive facing Timberline Drive.
(22) At the southeast comer of Trophy Wood Drive and Inverness Drive facing
south on Trophy Wood.
(23) At the northwest corner of Trophy Wood and Inverness Drive facing north
on Trophy Wood.

(24) At the southwest corner Trophy Wood extension at T.W. King Drive
facing T.W.King.
(25) At the southwest corner of Seminole Drive facing Fresh Meadow.
(26) At the southeast corner of Lake Forest facing Cypress Court.

street circles around into itself.
(37) At the southwest corner of Shasta Drive facing Trophy Lake Drive.
(38) At the northwest corner of Llano Drive facing Shasta Drive.
(39) All four corners where Cimarron Drive and Shasta Drive intersection.
(40) At the southeast corner of Shasta Drive facing Alamosa Drive.
(41) At the southeast corner of Pagosa Court facing Sonora Drive.
(42) At the southeast corner of Palo Duro Court facing Sonora Drive.
(43) At the southeast corner of Mesa Verde Court facing Sonora Drive.
(44) At the southeast corner of Salida Drive facing Chimney Rock Drive.
(45) At the southeast corner of Sonora Drive facing Monterey Drive.

Section 2. Asterisks. Whenever an asterisk (*) appears in this Ordinance, unless the
context indicates otherwise, the same represents text of Ordinance No. 92-08 which is not
amended hereby and which is in all thing ratified and affirmed.
Section 3. Savings. This Ordinance shall be cumulative of all other ordinances of the
City affecting traffic control and shall not repeal any of the provisions of those ordinances except
in those instances where the provisions of those Ordinances are in direct conflict with the
provisions of this Ordinance.
Section 4. Penalty. It shall be unlawful for any person to violate any provision of this
Ordinance, and any person violating or failing to comply with any provision hereof shall be
fined, upon conviction, in an amount not more than Five Hundred Dollars ($500.00), and a
separate offense shall be deemed committed each day during or on which a violation occurs or
continues.
Section 5. Severability. The sections, paragraphs, sentences, phrases, clauses and words
of this Ordinance are severable, and if any section, paragraph, sentence, phrase, clause or word
in this Ordinance or application thereof to any person or circumstance is held invalid or
unconstitutional by a Court of competent jurisdiction, such holding shall not affect the validity
of the remaining portions of this Ordinance, and the Town Council hereby declares that it would
have passed such remaining portions of this Ordinance despite such invalidity, which remaining
portions shall remain in full force and effect.
Section 6. Effective date. This Ordinance shall become effective from and after its date
of passage and publication as provided by law.
