ORDINANCE NO. 2000-16
AN ORDINANCE OF THE TOWN OF TROPHY CLUB, TEXAS,
RE -CANVASSING THE RETURNS FOLLOWING A RECOUNT AND
DECLARING THE RESULTS OF THE ELECTION HELD ON JULY 15,
2000, FOR THE PURPOSE OF CONSIDERING WHETHER TO APPROVE
PROPOSITION THREE (BONDS FOR PARKS AND RECREATION) OF
SAID ELECTION; AUTHORIZING ISSUANCE OF CANVASS OF
ELECTION; PROVIDING A REPEALER CLAUSE; AND PROVIDING AN
EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, on July 15, 2000 an election was duly and legally held in the Town of Trophy
Club, Texas, in conformity with the election laws of the State of Texas; and
WHEREAS, said election was held for the purpose of considering whether to approve four
propositions for bonds; and
WHEREAS, the difference in the nu>nber of votes received "for" and "against" Proposition
Three was less than ten percent (10%); and
WHEREAS, a duly authorized recount of the Election on Proposition Three was held on July
26, 2000; and
WHEREAS, Section 213.033 of the Texas Election Code requires that a new canvass be
completed when a recount changes the number of votes received "for" or "against" a measure; and
WHEREAS, the recount of the Election, duly and legally made, showed that Proposition
Three received the following votes:

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE TOWN COUNCIL OF THE
TOWN OF TROPHY CLUB, TEXAS:
Section 1. b-icomoration of Premises. The above and foregoing premises are true and
correct and are incorporated into the body of this Ordinance and made a part hereof for all purposes.
Section 2. Confirmation of Vote Tabulations. The results of Proposition Three of the
Election, as canvassed and tabulated above, reflect the expressed desires of the resident, qualified
voters of the Town.

Section 3. Proposition Three. In accordance with the canvass and tabulation of the
results of the Election on Proposition Three, the result is as follows:

Section 4. Issuance of Canvass of Election. The Mayor is hereby authorized and directed
to execute and deliver the new Canvass of the Election, a copy of which is attached hereto as Exhibit
A, in accordance with the election laws of the State of Texas, and to tape all other action necessary in
connection therewith.
Section 5. Repealer. Ordinance 2000-15, Section 2, only insofar as it conflicts with this
Ordinance as to the vote coturt for Proposition Three, is hereby repealed.
Section 7. Effective Date. This Ordinance shall take effect from and after its date of
passage in accordance with law.
PASSED AND APPROVED by the Town Council of the Town of Trophy Club, Texas, this

CANVASS OF GENERAL ELECTION
I, the undersigned Mayor of the Town of Trophy Club, Texas, and Presiding Officer of the
Canvassing Authority of the Town, net on July 26, 2000, with the Town Council of the Town,
sitting as the Canvassing Board to canvass the returns following a recount of the Election on
Proposition Three held on July 15, 2000, at the Trophy Club Town Hall Building, 100 Municipal
Drive, Trophy Club, Texas.
I DO HEREBY CERTIFY that the figures on the tally sheets correspond with the figures on
the returns.
IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I have hereunto set Try hand and caused the seal of the Town of
Trophy Club, Texas to be affixed hereto, this 1st day of August, 2000.
