A RESOLUTION OF THE TOWN COUNCIL OF THE TOWN
OF TROPHY CLUB, TEXAS INSTRUCTING AND
DIRECTING THE TOWN STAFF TO TAKE ALL NECESSARY
LEGAL STEPS TO CALL A JOINT PUBLIC HEARING OF
THE TOWN PLANNING AND ZONING COMMISSION AND
TOWN COUNCIL FOR THE PURPOSE OF CONSIDERING
AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 91-01, THE
COMPREHENSIVE ZONING ORDINANCE, BY: (1)
AMENDING THE TEXT OF CERTAIN ARTICLES AND
SECTIONS WITHIN THE SAID ORDINANCE, AND (2) BY
AMENDING THE ZONING MAP BY REZONING CERTAIN
LAND WITHIN THE TOWN; PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE
DATE.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE TOWN COUNCIL OF THE TOWN OF TROPHY CLUB,
TEXAS:
Section 1. That the Town Staff is hereby instructed and
directed to take all necessary steps in compliance with Chapter
211, Tex. Loc. Gov. Code Ann. (Vernon) and the Comprehensive Zoning
Ordinance of the Town, Ordinance No. 91-01, to call a joint public
hearing of the Town Planning and Zoning Commission and Town Council
for the purpose of considering amending the Comprehensive Zoning
Ordinance by (i) amending the text of certain Articles and sections
of the Comprehensive Zoning Ordinance, and (ii) amending the Zoning
Map by the rezoning of certain tracts of land located within the
Town.
Section 2. The Town Staff is directed to advertise for and
give notice of the joint public hearing in as expeditious a manner
as is legally possible, and to select a time and location for the
public meeting at a public place that is the most reasonable to
accommodate the citizens, and any and all actions taken by the Town
Staff to give such notice of or prepare for the joint public
hearing are hereby ratified.
Section 3. That this Resolution shall take effect from and
after its passage.
PASSED AND APPROVED by the Town Council of the Town of Trophy

NOTICE OF A JOINT PUBLIC HEARING OF THE PLANNING AND
ZONING COMMISSION AND TOWN COUNCIL OF THE TOWN OF TROPHY
CLUB, TEXAS TO CONSIDER AMENDMENTS TO (1) THE TOWN'S
COMPREHENSIVE ZONING ORDINANCE, AND (2) THE ZONING
DISTRICT MAP BY THE REZONING OF CERTAIN REAL PROPERTY
DESCRIBED HEREIN, ALL IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE TOWN'S
COMPREHENSIVE PLAN AND COMPREHENSIVE ZONING ORDINANCE
TO ALL CITIZENS, PROPERTY OWNERS, AND TAXPAYERS OF THE TOWN OF
TROPHY CLUB, TEXAS:
On the 16th day of February, 1993, at 7:00 P.M., there will be
held a joint public hearing of the Planning and Zoning Commission
and Town Council of the Town of Trophy Club, Texas, at the
Municipal Utility District Building, 100 Municipal Drive, Trophy
Club, Texas 76262, for the following purposes: (1) to consider
certain amendments to the Town's Comprehensive Zoning Ordinance,
Ordinance No. 91-01, as amended (the "Comprehensive Zoning
Ordinance"), and (2) to consider amendments to the Town's Zoning
District Map which would, if adopted, rezone certain land within
the Town as hereinafter described, in accordance with the (a) the
Comprehensive Plan 1992 for the Town of Trophy Club as adopted by
Ordinance No. 92-17 (the "Comprehensive Plan"), and (b) the
Comprehensive Zoning Ordinance.
This Notice is given pursuant to and in compliance with
Chapter 211, Tex. Local Government Code (Vernon), as amended, and
with the Comprehensive Zoning Ordinance.
I. COMPREHENSIVE ZONING ORDINANCE. The Town Planning and
Zoning Commission and Town Council will review the proposal to
amend the Comprehensive Zoning Ordinance as follows:
A. Additions: By adding to the Comprehensive Zoning
Ordinance: (1) a table indicating zoning districts and the uses
permitted therein, and (2) the following zoning districts:
R-8 Single Family District Regulations
A district designed to accommodate single family detached
dwellings on lots that are not less than 8,000 square feet in area.
R-9 Single Family District Regulations
A district designed to accommodate single family detached
dwellings on lots that are not less than 9,000 square feet in area.
R-11 Single Familv District Regulations
A district designed to accommodate single family detached
dwellings on lots that are not less than 11,000 square feet in
area.
B. Deletions: By deleting or removing in their entirety the
following zoning districts from the Comprehensive Zoning Ordinance

While the Tracts will be considered for rezoning as shown
above under "Proposed Zoning", in reviewing the zoning on each of
the said Tracts the Planning and Zoning Commission may recommend
and the Town Council shall have the discretion to consider rezoning
the Tracts according to any Zoning District outlined in the Town's
Comprehensive Zoning ordinance.
The joint public hearing, as previously noted, will begin on
February 16, 1993 and may be continued thereafter from day to day
as required.
The proposed changes to the text of the comprehensive Zoning
Ordinance, a map showing the proposed amendments to the Zoning

District Map, the Zoning District Map, the Town's Comprehensive
Plan 1992, the Comprehensive Zoning Ordinance (which contains all
of the descriptions for each zoning district) are all available for
review at the office of Ms. Cindy Kelly, Town Secretary, 100
Municipal Drive, Trophy Club, Texas and a copy of each document may
be purchased at the same office.
All property owners, taxpayers and citizens will be given an
opportunity during the public hearing to express their opinions and
views relative to the proposed amendments to the Zoning District
Map.
After all parties have been given an opportunity to speak, the
public hearing will be closed and the two bodies will deliberate
the pending matter. It is anticipated that (i) a new Comprehensive
Zoning Ordinance will be enacted with the changes set forth above,
and (ii) that the above described Tracts will be included in one or
more ordinances that will amend the Zoning District Map by rezoning
the said Tracts, and will incorporate all of the provisions of the
Comprehensive Zoning Ordinance.
