PROCLAMATION 2000-02
A PROCLAMATION OF THE TOWN COUNCIL OF THE TOWN OF TROPHY
CLUB, TEXAS, TO RECOGNIZE ACADEMIC AND SPORTS TEAMS WHO
REPRESENT OUR TOWN AND WHO BY THEIR PARTICIPATION BRING
HIGH HONOR TO THE TOWN AND ALL OF OUR RESIDENTS;
RECOGNIZING AND CONGRATULATING THEM ON THEIR
ACHIEVEMENTS; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, the Town of Trophy Club is fortunate to be home to residents of all ages
who participate, lead, coach and in other ways support organized academic and sporting groups
in their activities in the Town; and
WHEREAS, the Town of Trophy Club is fortunate to have the support of the NISD, the
teachers and the parents who support our students in these activities; and
WHEREAS, the Town Council of the Town of Trophy Club desires to recognize these
organizations and teams for their outstanding dedication and commitment to excellence.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT PROCLAIMED BY THE TOWN COUNCIL OF THE
TOWN OF TROPHY CLUB, TEXAS:
Section 1. That the Town of Trophy Club, Texas, recognizes and congratulates the
following organizations and individuals for their outstanding effort, their dedication and their
commitment to excellence that are the source of high community pride and that have resulted in
significant positive recognition for our Town.
The Trophy Club Swim Team, Coach Steve Melbourne — For participation and high
success in the Regional TAAF meet and in the Games of Texas 2000 State Meet.
The Medlin Middle School Band, Director Robert Sullivan — For being named
Texas State Champion Class C Honor Band and completing the 1999-2000 year undefeated
in competitions they entered.
The All-Star Pinto Baseball Team, Coach Rick Helmig — For victories in the Euless
Invitational Tournament, the Denton Invitational Tournament and Second Place in the
District.
The Diamond Backs Baseball Team, Coach Mark Aslett - For victory in the
Grapevine Bronco Tournament.
The Cougars Softball Team, Coach Mark Aslett -- For Third Place in the under 12
division.

The Northwest High School Varsity Cheerleaders, Coach Jennifer Tlucek — For
competing in Corpus Christi and receiving awards and a bid to participate in the National
Cheerleading Association in Dallas in December 2000, as well as several individual
nominations for All-American.
The Northwest Freshman Cheerleaders, Coach Heather Johnson — For competing in
Corpus Christi and receiving awards during the competition, as well as several individual
nominations for All-American.
Section 2. That this Proclamation shall become effective from and after its date of
passage in accordance with law.
