Invitation to Participate - Time Capsule Project

Trophy Club Clock Tower
Whereas the children and young people of Trophy Club represent our Town's
future;
Whereas we the duly elected representatives of Trophy Club wish to contribute
to future generation's understanding of our way of life;
Whereas the heritage of our community and the values we hold in esteem are
worthy of perpetuation;
We do hereby invite all young people and teachers of Lakeview Elementary School,
Samuel Beck Intermediate School, and Medlin Middle School to contribute artifacts to
the Trophy Club Clock Tower Time Capsule.

Trophy Club.
We charge the Mayor and Town Council of the year 2024 with presiding over the
opening of the Trophy Club Clock Tower Time Capsule in that year.
1 . To direct and guide the project,,, overseeing the selection and creation of contributions that are
intellectually challenging and developmentally appropriate for each grade level.
2. To ensure that contributions are completed by November 1, 1999.
I To develop projects that involve as many students as possible. But given space limitations, only
representative artifacts might be selected for inclusion.
Role of the Mayor and Town Council Members
1. Select artifacts worthy of the town and of our elected officials.
Parameters:
I . Avoid artifacts that could require lost technology, e.g., 8 -track tapes.
2. Texts should be on archival quality paper. Artwork on canvas or other appropriate material.
3. Do not laminate a photo or text to preserve it.
4. Use only archival quality fasteners or glue.
5. Schools have the option of making classroom contributions or school contributions. Contributions
from individual students are discouraged because of space limitations and the number of students
involved.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT PROCLAIMED BY THE MAYOR OF THE TOWN OF
TROPHY CLUB, TEXAS:
