The Town Council of the Town of Trophy Club met in SPecial
Session on Monday, January 4, 1988. The meeting was held at
the Municipal Utility District Building and was open to the
Public.

CALL TO ORDER
Mayor Carter called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m.
INVOCATION
Council Member Vance gave the Invocation.
PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE
Chairman Mike Hamper led in the Pledge of Allegiance.
PRESENTATION: MR. RICK SALWEN, REPRESENTING THE PERQT GROUP,
TO ADDRESS THE COUNCIL CONCERNING THE NORTH BELTWAY AND TITE
PROPOSED CHANGES TO HIGHWAY 114.
Mr. Rick SaIwen, representing the Perot Group, reviewed the
proposed "North Beltway" plan and the proposed changes to
Highway 114. Mr. Salwen stated that Tarrant and Denton County
have approved the minutes orders. The City of Fort Worth has
also approved the minute orders and surrounding Town's will
also be asked to approve the plans. There will also be a
Hearing conducted by the State Highway Department in the near
future.

AND ACCEPTING MINUTE ORDER NO. 86418 OF THE STATE
DEPARTMENT OF HIGHWAYS AND PUBLIC TRANSPORTATION
CONCERNING CERTAIN IMPROVEMENTS TO STATE HIGHWAY 114 AND
BEING GENERALLY DESCRIBED AS A BYPASS THRQUGH R8AN8KE,
TEXAS: PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.

AND ACCEPTING MINUTE 8RDER NO. 86417 OF THE STATE
DEPARTMENT OF HIGHWAYS AND PUBLIC TRAWSPORTATION
CONCERNING CERTAIN IMPROVEMENTS T8 STATE HIGHWAY 114 AND
BEING GENERALLY DESCRIBED AS A SPUR CONNECTING STATE
HIGHWAY 114 WITH INTERSTATE HIGHWAY 35W; PROV%DING AN
EFFECTIVE DATE.
Council Member Vance made a motion to aporove the two
Resolutions as written and suggested the Council recommend
further study be done on a southern bypass for Roanoke.
Mayor Pro Tem Martignago seconded, motion carried
unanimously.
Mayor Pro Tem Martignago made a motion to adjourn the special
meeting, Council Member Vance seconded, motion carried
unanimously.
WORKSHOP: TOWN COUNCIL TO DISC0SS INDEPENDENT AMERICAN'S
PLANNED DEVELOPMEWT DISTRICTS.
Mayor Carter gave opening comments and opened the workshop
for discussion on the four P.D.'s. Mr. Ed Snvder and Mr.
Craig Curry reviewed the plan with the Council and answered
questions from the audience.
MARSHAL NO -TE TQ ADDRESS THE COUNCIL CONCERNING THE
INTERLOCAL AGREEMENT WITH DENTON COUNTY SHERIFF'S DEPARTMEWT,,
Marshal Nolte and the Council discussed the Interlocal
Agreement. It was the general consensus of the Council
to require a 90 day renewal clause instead of a six month
renewal clause in the contNolte wi 11 oreseni'.-
the contract to Commissiown's Ad -eoort back to the
Council.
