The Town Council of the Town of Trophy Club, of Denton County,
met in Regular Session, open to the Public, at 7:OOPM on May
20, 1985, 100 Water Plant Road, Trophy Club, Texas within the
boundaries of the Town. The following officers and members
were present:

Mayor Carter called the meeting to order at 7:02PM.
The first item on the agenda was the election of the Planning
and Zoning Committee. Council Member Vance made a motion to
call the group the Planning and Zoning Commission, seconded
by Council Member Martignago, motion carried with Council
Member Neidenberger abstaining.
Mr. Boyle, Attorney for the City, had prepared a Resolution
for the Planning and Zoning Commission. Council Member
Neidenberger had drafted an outline for a Resolution to be
considered by the Council. Councilman Martignago made a
motion to accept Council Member Neidenberger's outline
for the Resolution, Council Member Neidenberger seconded,
motion carried unanimoulsy.
The Town Countil hereby appoints Loren Alexander, as Chair-
person, and Gene Aerstin, Neil Anderson, Bruce Benton, and
Bill Tynes as members of the Planning and Zoning Commission.
Council Member Vance made a motion to appoint these members,
Council Member Martignago seconded, motion carried unanimously.
The next Resolution to be considered by the Council was the
Security Study Committee. The purpose of the Committee is to
study the security needs of the Town for the protection of
its citizens and property. The Committee will make monthly
reports to the Council and will submit a final written report
on or before the 26th day of August, 1985, to the Council for
review and approval.

The Security Study Committee shall consist of six members,
one of whom shall be Marshal, David Nolte, who shall serve
as Chairperson. The Committee members will be, Pearl 0. Ford,
William C. Lagoni, Marianne Peterson, Jimmy Sturdevant, and
Richard Venetoff. Councilman Dayton made a motion to pass
the Resolution and appoint the Committee, Councilman Martig-
nago seconded, motion carried unanimously. (Resolution attached).
The next item to come before the Council was to consider a
Resolution for the purpose of studying the feasibility of
obtaining Federal and State matching funds for parks and
recreation. Councilman Dayton and Councilman Martignago
had obtained the needed information for organizing the
Committee and information regarding applying for the funds.
The Parks and Recreation Committee would report to the Planning
and Zoning Committee and the Town Council for review and
approval. Councilman Vance made the motion to adopt the Re-
solution, Councilman Martignago seconded, motion carried
unanimously. (Resolution attached).
The Town Council hereby appoints Vance Booker, John Sheller,
John Mayall and Larry Schwab, as regular committee members
and Roger Brown and a representative from C.I.A. as advisory
committee members. Councilman Dayton made a motion to appoint
the members as listed, Councilman Martignago seconded, motion
carried unanimously.
The next item to be discussed by the Council was the method
for selecting a City Treasurer. The Council felt that the
position should be advertised in the Grapevine Sun. People
interested in being considered should call the City Office
and make application to the Council.
There being no further business to discuss the meeting was
adjourned.
