BACKGROUND/SUMMARY: This budget amendment seeks approval to re-obligate funds for the upfitting of two police vehicles purchased during the previous fiscal year. Although the vehicles were acquired as planned, the necessary upfitting was not completed before the end of the budget year, resulting in the lapse of the original funding allocation. This amendment will transfer the previously allocated funds into the current fiscal year’s budget to ensure the vehicles are properly equipped for operational use. This budget amendment is a reallocation of unspent funds from FY 2024 to fulfill the previously approved purchase. BOARD REVIEW/CITIZEN FEEDBACK: N/A FISCAL IMPACT: The CCPD expenditure will increase the FY 2025 Budget by $44,331 from $358,888 to $403,219. The additional $44,331 will come from CCPD Fund reserves (unspent from FY 2024). LEGAL REVIEW: N/A ATTACHMENTS: None ACTIONS/OPTIONS: Staff recommends that the Crime Control & Prevention District Board move to recommend approval of the FY 2025 Budget amendment to increase expenditures by $44,331 for upfitting two police vehicles.
