The Crime Control and Prevention District Board of the Town of Trophy Club, Texas, met in a Regular
Session on February 12, 2020. The meeting was held within the boundaries of the Town and was open
to the public.

CALL TO ORDER AND ANNOUNCE A QUORUM
Chairman Leo Daniels called the meeting to order and announced a quorum at 6:01 p.m.
CITIZEN PRESENTATIONS
Citizens are allowed three (3) minutes to address the Board regarding an item over which the Board has
policy or oversight authority as provided by Texas law, the ethics order, or other policy order.
No citizens addressed the Board.
REGULAR SESSION
Consider and take appropriate action regarding the Crime Control and Prevention
District Board Minutes for November 01, 2021.
Chairman Leo Daniels called for a review of the minutes of the November 01, 2021
Meeting of the Crime Control and Prevention District. The minutes were reviewed and a
motion was made by Joe Tellez to accept the minutes as presented. Motion seconded by Board
Member Fred Lohmann.
Motion approved by a vote of 7-0.
Board Member Leo Daniels called for a review of the Referendum. The attachment was
reviewed and a motion was made by Fred Lohmann to accept the Referendum as presented.
Christine Udvar-Hazy seconded the motion.
Motion approved by a vote of 7-0.
Board Member Leo Daniels presented item for review of amendment to budget for new grant
application for body cameras. Chief Arata explained the grant process and the need to amend
the budget for the upgraded cameras. Recordings are cloud -based; this will include spare
cameras as well. Camera life is around 5 years; technology continues to grow and competitors
are always looking forward. Body cams go to the equipment line of budget. This is a matching
grant from Department of Justice.
Chris McAllister made motion to authorize, Heath Williams seconded.
Motion approved 7-0.
4. Receive a Flock Camera update.
Chief Arata briefed Board Members on the hits that have been picked up by the Flock cameras
and cars that go through town.
5. Receive Police Department update.
Chief Arata updates Board with update that Department is still recruiting; the Racial Profile
Report for 2021 is complete and submitted. The Department's new electric motorbike is in use
and doing well.
Marc Bartels asked question of gated parking lot for Police Department and suggests more than
one gate in case of emergencies.
6. Receive CCPD Budget Update.
Chief Arata gave update on the Police vehicles, the Brazos ticket writers; 2 additional officers
have been approved by Council in addition to current openings.
CCPD will have an upcoming meeting in May of this year.

Fred Lohmann.
