The Trophy Club Pwks and Recreation Board met in a Regular Session on Thursday,November 19,2920 at 7:02 PM.

CALL TO ORDER AND ANNOUNCE A QUORUM
Chairperson Nknphhns called the meeting to order at 702 PM and noted a quorum with Vice Chairperson Bone,Secretary
Murray,Board Members Bath,Fox and Babineauxc.
PUBLIC COMMENTS
Chairperson Nimphlus confirmed there were no speakers registered for Public Comment.
REGULAR SESSION
Consider and take appropriate action regarding the approval of the Parks and Recreation Board
minutes dated September 21,2020.
Chairperson Nimphlus asked if board members had reviewed the revised minutes from September 21,2020.
Chairperson Nimphlus asked If any changes were needed and none were Indicated.
Chairperson Nimphius asked for a motion. Board Member Bath moved to approve the minutes dated
September 21,2020,seconded by Board Member Fox.
Chairperson Nimphlus called for a vote. Motion was approved unanimously(6-0).
OATH OF OFFICE:
Town Secretary Vacek administered the Oath of office to Chairperson Nimphlus and Vice Chairperson Minds Bone,Board
Members Murray and Babineaux(new and reappointed Board Members).

Chairperson Nimphius asked that agenda item 2020.353-T(Discuss and provide direction on the installation of dedicated

Discuss and provide direction on the h ndatlon of dedicated pkMWM courts.
Citizen presentation by Joy Mud,5 Crestwood Drive,Trophy dub,who Is the tennis and pkidebell pro In Trophy Cub.
She discussed how pkldeball is booming locally and that It an be complimented with sharing tennis play along with
ptokdeball. She is certified in both tennis and piddeball and stated that she would be avallable V needed.
Ptcideball items discussed(Director ummdNo)knck ded:
1. Piddaball facts and highlights with growth rates provided. Trophy Cub play Is split on Town courts between
tennis and plckleball,with approximately 60%pl kkW and 40%tennis.
2. Two(2)options were provided es potential locations for new designated picldeball courts.Option A is located at
I deuce Park East,where the current t-t»N Adds reside,with the possibility of eight(8)cowts.Option A
would allow for sanctioned and non-sanctioned picklaball tournaments to be held at this location.Option B is
located at Wlepand ennce Park West South of the existing tennis courts.Option B would allow for four(4)courts
however limit the usage for tournaments.
3. Examples of misting court setups were shown and further discussion occurred.
Board Member Fox asked If Option A was chosen,what would happen to the existing t-ball Adds.Director Jaramillo
stated that ail three(3)t-ball fields would be., to the srmB multi-use Aald next to the Splash Pad.
Director JaraMNo explained more detailed information would be provided once an architeNeonsultant was hired.
Chairperson Nimphius moved to recommend to council to work with a consulgM and move forward on a minimum eight
(8)court Installation in the Independence East location(option A)and to return all tennis courts to dedicated tennis
courts. Motion was seconded by Vke Chairperson Bone.
Chairperson Nimphius caned for a vote. The motion passed unenimously(6-0).

Director JWVnIINo introduced Aquatics&Recreation Specialist Carly Johnston and provided information on her
backgroued.
Park Items disoussed(Director laramillo)included:
1. Winter flowers installed In all Town f owerbeds.
2. Christmas decorations have been installed.
3. New picnic tables installed at Freedom Dag Park.
4. Parks team performed an excellent job throughout the fag season with TCR baseball and additional baseball
tournaments held at independence Park.

Recreational items discussed(Specialist Johnston)included:
1. Adult leagues(KWdM and Bocce)Will both be concluded by November 21'r.
2. Past Spada)Events Included Virtual SK Labor Day Run,Pet Faat,Community N%K and Fall Family Campout.
Upcoming event Is Christmas In the Park an December S,2020.
3. Acdoldn recently completed or to be held soon Include Fright Lights Contest(completed),LRrters to Santa,
Holiday Ughts Contest,and the Virtual Gingerbread douse Decorating Contest.
4. Community Pool Financials were covered for Fiscal Year 2019 and 2020.In addition,an update was provided on
COVIO related canceRatkms in 2020:Ind capacity,pool rentals,swim team,and swim lessons.
S. lakeside Aquric Swim Club reserved the Community Pool complex for swim team practices which provided
aditonW revenue for the 2020 season.

Chairwoman Nkq*lus asked for future agenda items to be discussed. Reim Included as future agenda items were:
1. New revenue generating ideas for the Community Pool;
2. Update on Trophy Club Park financials and new revenue genera ft Ideas.
Chairperson Nirnphlus reminded the board that there would not be a December Parks and Recreation!bard meeting;the
next meeting will be January 18,2021.
