BOARD OF THE CRIME CONTROL AND PREVENTION DISTRICT MEETING
FOR THE TOWN OF TROPHY CLUB

The Crime Control and Prevention District Board of the Town of Trophy Club, Texas, met in a Regular
Session on Monday, July 15, 2019. The meeting was held within the boundaries of the Town and was
open to the public.

CALL TO ORDER AND ANNOUNCE A QUORUM
Board Member Richard Savage called the meeting to order and announced a quorum at 6:00 p.m.
CITIZEN PRESENTATIONS
Citizens are allowed three (3) minutes to address the Board regarding an item over which the Board has
policy or oversight authority as provided by Texas law, the ethics order, or other policy order.
No citizens addressed the Board.

REGULAR SESSION
1.Discuss and take appropriate action regarding the Trophy Club Crime Control and Prevention
District Board Minutes for June 17, 2019.
Board Member Richard Savage called for a review of the minutes of the June 17, 2019 Meeting
of the Crime Control and Prevention District. The minutes were reviewed and a motion was
made by Karl Monger to accept \[or table\] the June 17, 2019 minutes as presented. Motion
seconded by Board Member Joe Tellez.
Motion approved by a vote of 4-0.
2.Consider and take appropriate action regarding the Crime Control and Prevention District
Board budget for Fiscal Year 2019 – 2020 (Staff).
Chief Arata requested to briefly return back to Item 1 on Agenda: Conducting a Public Hearing
regarding the Crime Control and Prevention District budget for Fiscal Year 2019 – 2020.
Motion was made to close the Public Hearing by Heath Williams; Karl Monger seconded the
motion.
Approved unanimously.
Cheryl Davenport, of the Finance Department was introduced by Chief Arata; she explained she
was there to answer questions regarding the budget. After working with Finance and Cheryl,
the Police Department was allocated $20,000 to have an officer work part-time thru the year.
The updated budget sheet looked more expanded than previous versions. A question was asked
regarding the 2019 actuals and how to locate that information. Chief explained where
information is located and that some of the items are not paid off currently.
Richard Savage asked for motion to accept budget for Fiscal Year 2019 – 2020. Heath Williams
accepted, Joe Telez seconded the motion.
Approved by 4-0 vote.
