The Parks & Recreation Board of the Town of Trophy Club, Texas, met in a Regular Session on
Monday, August 21 2017 at 7:00 p.m. The meeting was held within the boundaries of the Town
and was open to the public.

Call to order and announce a quorum.
Chairperson Nimphius called the meeting to order at 7:07 p.m. noting a quorum was
present.
Citizen Presentations:
Citizen Bill Rose discussed the game of Bocce Ball and how it is played. Mr. Rose then
discussed the participation levels at Harmony Park in the Trophy Club Recreation league
for Bocce Ball. He then made the request that for a third court to accommodate the level
of play at Harmony Park.
REGULAR SESSION
1. Discuss and take appropriate action regarding the approval of the Parks and
Recreation Board Minutes dated July 24, 2017.
Board Member Bilbrey made a motion to approve the July 24, 2017 minutes. Board
Member Farrell seconded the motion. The motion passed unanimously.
2. Discuss and provide update regarding ongoing projects at Town Parks
Director of Jaramillo advised that the sand at the Dinosaur Play Ground would receive
new play sand. Additionally, he advised that the baseball fields would be receiving
conditioner and various preparations for the fall baseball season.
3. Discuss and provide direction regarding naming the Town's Community Pool.
The board wanted to examine renaming the Pool and Splash Pad. The board wanted for
there to be a contest amongst the Town to determine the names. Board decided to bring
the idea of the renaming and contest to the council.
4. Discuss and provide direction regarding renaming Independence Park West.
Renaming Independence West was discussed and rejected.
5. Discuss and provide direction regarding Trophy Club Park fees for residents and
non-residents.
Membership fees were discussed for residents who purchased the motocross
membership. It was decided that the recommendation from the board would be that the
fees should remain the same. A motion was made by Board Member Bilbrey and second
by Board Member Gibson. It was also noted that TCP needs improved marketing.
Adjourn
Board Member Gibson made a motion to dismiss the meeting at 7:57 p.m. Vice Chairperson
Bone seconded the motion. The motion passed unanimously.
