MINUTES OF A REGULAR PARKS & RECREATION BOARD
MEETING FOR THE TOWN OF TROPHY CLUB
LOCATION: 100 MUNICIPAL DRIVE, TROPHY CLUB, TEXAS
Monday, May 16, 2016 7:00 P.M.
The Parks & Recreation Board of the Town of Trophy Club, Texas, met in a Regular Session on
Monday, May 16, 2016 at 7:00 p.m. The meeting was held within the boundaries of the Town
and was open to the public.

Call to order and announce a quorum.
Chairman Bilbrey called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m. noting a quorum was present.
REGULAR SESSION
Citizen Presentations:
1. Discuss and provide input to staff concerning playground design selection for
Harmony Park.
Staff is looking at two companies: Kraftsman and PlayWell. Both companies submitted
designs for toddler -aged kids; $50,000 playground with $20,000 shade structure.
Swings that are designed to be all-inclusive will be included with the playground.
Request was made from audience to include sensory elements in the design, as well as
elements to accommodate special needs.
2. Discuss and take appropriate action on the approval of the March 21, 2016
minutes.
Board Member Hanna made a motion to approve the March 21, 2016 minutes with a
small edit made by Board Member Hocker — delete sentence in item 2 regarding
agreement among board members. Board Member Hocker seconded the motion. The
motion passed unanimously.

3. Staff/Board updates on the following; discussion of same:
a. July 4` Celebration
$10 wristbands for non-residents. Residents get free wristbands. Pool is not
open to non-residents, Trophy Club hotel guests will be considered residents if
they are staying at the hotel on July 41h. Implementing new cash -handling
processes. Complete update at next meeting.
b. Harmony Park
Park Board selected a playground. Pickleball courts will be striped on each
tennis court.
c. Lakeview Park
Construction will begin after school is out.
d. Trophy Club Park
Promotional video was made at Back To Nature. BTN had about 500 in
attendance. Archery was very popular at BTN. Family CampOut was successful
and had a good feel to it. FEMA contracts have been signed; bid for cleanup will
go to council at second meeting in June, hopefully.
e. Community Pool
Slide has been moved to point in a different direction. Small pool has been
resurfaced and has a new pump. Women's bathroom floor has been refinished.
Swim team starts tonight. Pool and dog park now closed on Thursdays, not
Tuesdays.
f. Medians
Staff is working on way -finding signage. Staff is also working on a comp plan for
the Town that includes median designs.

Vice Chairman Hayq made a motion to dismiss the meeting at 8:15 p.m. Board Member
Hacker secondegthelmotion. The motion passed unanimously.
