AN ORDINANCE OF THE TOWN COUNCIL OF THE TOWN
OF TROPHY CLUB, TEXAS INSTRUCTING AND
DIRECTING THE TOWN STAFF TO TAKE ALL NECESSARY
LEGAL STEPS TO CALL A JOINT PUBLIC HEARING OF
THE TOWN PLANNING AND ZONING COMMISSION AND
TOWN COUNCIL FOR THE PURPOSE OF CONSIDERING
THE REZONING OF A TRACT OF LAND FOR SINGLE
FAMILY RESIDENTIAL USE, THE SAID REZONING BEING
AN AMENDMENT TO THE COMPREHENSIVE ZONING
ORDINANCE, ORDINANCE NO. 94-09, OF THE TOWN, AND
TO CONSIDER THE APPROVAL OF A SITE PLAN FOR
CHURCH USE; PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE TOWN COUNCIL OF THE TOWN OF TROPHY CLUB,
TEXAS:
Section 1. That the Town Staff is hereby instructed and directed to take all necessary
steps in compliance with Chapter 211, Tex. Loc. Gov. Code Ann. (Vernon) and the
Comprehensive Zoning Ordinance of the Town, Ordinance No. 94-09, to call a joint public
hearing of the Town Planning and Zoning Commission and Town Council for the purpose of
considering the rezoning of a tract of land located within the Town and as described in the notice
attached hereto as Exhibit "A" and incorporated herein, the said rezoning, if adopted,
constituting an amendment to the said Comprehensive Zoning Ordinance, and to consider the
approval of a site plan for a church as described in the said notice.
Section 2. The Town Staff is directed to advertise for and give notice of the joint
public hearing in as expeditious a manner as is legally possible, and to select a time and location
for the public meeting at a public place that is the most reasonable to accommodate the citizens,
and any and all actions taken by the Town Staff to give such notice of or prepare for the joint
public hearing are hereby ratified.
Section 3. That this Ordinance shall take effect from and after its passage.

NOTICE OF A JOINT PUBLIC HEARING OF THE PLANNING AND ZONING
COMMISSION AND TOWN COUNCIL OF THE TOWN OF TROPHY CLUB, TEXAS
CONCERNING AMENDING THE TOWN'S ZONING DISTRICT MAP BY THE
REZONING OF CERTAIN REAL PROPERTY DESCRIBED HEREIN PURSUANTTO
THE TOWN'S COMPREHENSIVE PLAN AND COMPREHENSIVE ZONING
ORDINANCE.
TO ALL CITIZENS, PROPERTY OWNERS, AND TAXPAYERS OF THE TOWN OF
TROPHY CLUB, TEXAS:
On the 21st day of March, 1995, at 7:00 P.M. and continued thereafter from day to day as
required, there will be field a joint public bearing of the Planning and Zoning Commission and Town
Council of the Town of Trophy Club, Texas, at the Municipal Utility District Building, 100 Municipal
Drive, Trophy Club, Texas 76262, for the purpose of considering art amendment to the Town's Zoning
District Map which would, if adopted, rezone certain land within the Town as hereinafter described, in
accordance with the (i) the Comprehensive Plan 1992 for the Town of Trophy Club as adopted by
Ordinance No. 92-17 (the "Comprehensive Plan"), and (ii) the Town's Comprehensive Zoning Ordinance,
Ordinance No. 94-09 (the "Comprehensive Zoning Ordinance"), as amended.
The tract of land (the "Land") described on Exhibit "A" attached hereto and incorporated herein
consists of Lot 1353, Trophy Club Section 1 I (currently zoned R-10 Single Family District) and a portion
of certain land contiguous thereto (currently zoned CR -Commercial Recreation). The proposed rezoning
will cliange the zoning oil that portion of the Land currently zoned CR-Coniniercial Recreation to R-10
Single Family District for single-family residential use.
In addition, the public hearing will also include a proposed amendment to a site plan for a church
(Methodist) located ori Trophy Club Drive between State Highway 114 and Indian Creek and across from
the Trophy Club sales office.
A snap showing the Land to be rezoned and the church site, the Zoning District Map, the Town's
Comprehensive Plan 1992, and the Comprehensive Zoning Ordinance, are all available for review at the
office of Ms. Pauline Shaw, Town Planning aiid Zoning Administrator, 100 Municipal Drive, Trophy
Club, Texas and a copy of each document may be purchased at the sante office.
All property owners, taxpayers and citizens will be given an opportunity during the public hearing
to express their opinions and views relative to the proposed amendments to the Zoning District Map.
After all parties have been given ail opportunity to speak, the public hearing will be closed and the two
bodies will deliberate the pending matter.
