ORDINANCE 2000-15
THE STATE OF TEXAS
COUNTY OF DENTON
TOWN OF TROPHY CLUB
WHEREAS, the Town Council of said Town ordered an election to be held in said Town on
July 15, 2000, on the PROPOSITIONS hereinafter stated; and
WHEREAS, said Town Council has investigated all matters pertaining to said election,
including the ordering, giving notice, officers, holding and malting returns of said election; and
WHEREAS, the election officers who held said election have duly made the returns of the
result thereof, and said returns have been duly delivered to said Town Council.
WHEREAS, it is hereby officially found and determined that the meeting at which this
Ordinance was passed was open to the public, and public notice of the time, place and purpose of
said meeting was given, all as required by Chapter 551, Texas Government Code.
THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE TOWN COUNCIL OF THE TOWN OF
TROPHY CLUB:
1. That the Town Council officially finds and determines that said election was duly ordered,
that proper notice of said election was duly given, that proper election officers were duly appointed
prior to said election, that said election was duly held, that due returns of the result of said election
have been made and delivered, and that the Town Council has duly canvassed said returns, all in
accordance with law and the Ordinance calling said election.
2. That the Town Council officially finds and determines that the following votes were cast
at said election, on the submitted PROPOSITIONS by the resident, qualified electors of said Town,
who voted at the election:
PROPOSITION NO. 1
613 VOTES: FOR
THE ISSUANCE OF $4,175,000 IMPROVEMENT,
TO -WIT: A LOOP ROAD TAX BONDS
1051 VOTES: AGAINST
PROPOSITION NO. 2
918 VOTES: FOR
THE ISSUANCE OF $6,260,000 STREET
IMPROVEMENT TAX BONDS
739 VOTES: AGAINST
PROPOSITION NO. 3
830 VOTES: FOR
THE ISSUANCE OF $6,155,000 PARD
ACQUISITION, CONSTRUCTION AND
IMPROVEMENTS, INCLUDING BASEBALL
FIELDS AND PARK RECREATION/COMMUNITY
CENTER AND OTHER PARK IMPROVEMENT
TAX BONDS
830 VOTES: AGAINST
PROPOSITION NO, 4
THE ISSUANCE OF $525,000 MAINTENANCE
BUILDING IMPROVEMENT TAX BONDS
867 VOTES: AGAINST
3. That the Town Council officially finds, determines and declares the result of said election
to be that PROPOSITION NO.2 so submitted has received a favorable majority vote in all respects
and has carried.
4. That the aforesaid bond may be issued, as voted and as provided by law.

THE ISSUANCE OF $6,155,000 PARK
ACQUISITION, CONSTRUCTION AND
IMPROVEMENTS, INCLUDING BASEBALL

830 VOTES: AGAINST
PROPOSITION NO.4
787 VOTES: FOR
THE ISSUANCE OF $525,000 MAINTENANCE
BUILDING IMPROVEMENT TAX BONDS
867 VOTES: AGAINST
3. That the Town Council officially finds, determines and declares the result of said election
to be that PROPOSITION NO.2 so submitted has received a favorable majority vote in all respects
and has carried.
4. That the aforesaid bond may be issued, as voted and as provided by law.

We, the undersigned officers of said Town, hereby certify as follows:
1. The Town Council of said Town convened in REGULAR MEETING ON THE 18TH DAY OF
JULY, 2000, at the Trophy Club Municipal Building, and the roll was called of the duly constituted officers
and members of said Town Council, to -wit:

Susan Edstrom
Bill Matthai
Scott Smith
Barb Tweedie
Diane Cockrell, Town Secretary
and all of said persons were present, except the following absentees: , thus constituting
a quorum. Whereupon, among other business, the following was transacted at said Meeting: a written

was duly introduced for the consideration of said Town Council and read in full. It was then duly moved
and seconded that said Ordinanoe be passed; and, after due discussion, said motion carrying with i; the
passage of said Ordinance, prevalled and carried by the following vote:
AYES: All members of said Town Council shown present above voted "Aye".
NOES: None.
2. That a true, full and correct copy of the aforesaid Ordinance passed at the Meeting described
in the above and foregoing paragraph is attached to and follows this Certificate; that said Ordinance has
been duly recorded in said Town Council's minutes of said Meeting; that the above and foregoing
paragraph is a true, full and correct excerpt from said Town Council's minutes of said Meeting pertaining
to the passage of said Ordinance; that the persons named in the above and foregoing paragraph are the
duly chosen, qualified and acting officers and members of said Town Council as indicated therein; that
each of the officers and members of said Town Council was duly and sufficiently notified officially and
personally, in advance, of the time, place and purpose of the aforesaid Meeting, and that said Ordinance
would be introduced and considered for passage at said Meeting, and each of said officers and members
consented, in advance, to the holding of said Meeting for such purpose, and that said Meeting was open
to the public and public notice of the time, place and purpose of said meeting was given, all as required
by Chapter 551, Texas Government Code,
I That the Mayor of said Town has approved and hereby approves the aforesaid Ordinance;
that the Mayor and the Town Secretary of said Town have duly signed said Ordinance; and that the
Mayor and the Town Secretary of said Town hereby declare that their signing of this Certificate shall
constitute the signing of the attached and following copy of said Ordinance for all purposes.
